This committee primary function of the Fundraising Committee is to concentrate on raising funds for the Duarte Chamber. These funds are a valuable part to ensure viability and stability of the Chamber. These include our Annual Installation, State of the City and/or School District, and our ever-popular Taste of Duarte and Business Expo.
The Finance and Administrative Committee oversee the Chamber’s finances and ensure sustainability, administrative matters such as by-laws, finances, and nominations for future board members.
Reviews issues related to governing rules and regulations that affect businesses. These issues are examined using our posted platform. Work with legislators to speak to our members and the community about items relevant to legislation affecting businesses. This committee concentrates on developing workforce not only in Duarte but works regionally as well through the K-12 Foothill Consortium, Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs and representing at DUSD’s Community Education Council (CEC). Also, supports the education through partnerships with businesses, neighboring colleges, city representation and community organizations. The WFD also serves as Duarte Career & Technical Education Advisory Committee (DCTEAC) for DUSD, which exists to advise, assist, support, and advocate for the CTE program.
Business Outreach is dedicated to outreaching with local businesses through various activities. These activities include:
